Ao Yon is probably the best sheltered and safest bay in Phuket. That’s where you’ll find the Phuket Youth Sailing Club, managed by Katy Gooch and Paul Firmin. As the name suggests, this organization is for children. However, its history is somewhat unique, as Katy was able to tell me.
