TAT Entices Foreign Tourists
with Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges
Bangkok, 26 September 2024 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announces the “Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges” program, offering incredible prizes, giveaways, and exclusive deals to foreign tourists visiting Thailand between 1 November and 16 December this year. Over 300 businesses across the kingdom are participating, providing exceptional value and memorable experiences.

“This initiative aligns with the government’s tourism stimulus policy,” said Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor. “TAT continuously develops strategies and promotions to accelerate tourism recovery. We prioritize boosting tourist spending, particularly in our Hidden Gem Cities. The ‘Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges’ program aims to attract foreign arrivals and achieve this year’s target of 36.7 million visitors.”
The program is a key component of the “WOW! Thailand Passport Privileges” campaign, designed to:
1. Boost revenue for the tourism industry
2. Stimulate economic growth
3. Enhance the reputation of Thai tourism services
Special benefits cater to both short-haul markets like China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Malaysia, and long-haul markets such as the UK, US, Canada, and Europe.
Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges" Highlights:
“Must Do Souvenirs: From Heart to Hands”
10,000 souvenirs reflecting the ‘Must-Do in Thailand’ theme will be gifted to arriving foreign tourists at Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, and Phuket International Airports.
“WOW Thailand: Must Do Package”:
The first 10,000 foreign tourists who register online will receive discounts and exclusive privileges redeemable at participating establishments.
“WOW Thailand: Lucky Number”
Twenty holiday packages worth a total of 700,000 Baht will be awarded to tourists arriving at specific milestones (e.g., 10,000th, 20,000th). Each package, valued at 35,000 Baht, includes domestic airfare, accommodation discounts, and savings on dining and activities.
“WOW Thailand: Big Surprise!”
One lucky visitor will win the grand prize, valued at 300,000 Baht, by completing a questionnaire and being selected through a random draw.
Mr. Chamnan Srisawat, President of the Tourism Council of Thailand, emphasized the program’s wide reach: “Over 300 establishments are offering discounts and special deals, including department stores, shopping centers, credit card companies, airlines, restaurants, hotels, and health and beauty centers. Tourists simply need to present their passports to enjoy these exclusive privileges.”
Participating establishments include renowned names like Central Sriracha Shopping Mall, Sri Panwa Hotel, Phuket Luxury Pool Villa, Best Western Patong Beach Hotel, InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit, Masumi Spa Chiang Mai, Amara Bangkok, and Kacha Resort Koh Chang, among many others.
