A thoughtful architect in Phuket
In the world of architecture and construction in Phuket, Kevin Allain stands out for his atypical career and pragmatic approach.
As the founder of Thai-French Group, he combines French know-how with an attentive adaptation to the local context—favoring professionalism and discretion over the spotlight.
A career built on real experience
Originally from France, Kevin grew up immersed in the family construction business, where he gained an early appreciation for the industry’s complexities.
With a background in electrical engineering and a specialization in interior architecture, he accumulated hands-on experience across a range of roles—from site supervisor to project director. This breadth has shaped his comprehensive, pragmatic vision of the building process.
Over six years ago, he chose to set up Thai-French Group in Phuket, with the aim of bringing a high standard of European expertise to both expatriates and international investors.
His approach has earned the company a strong reputation among clients looking for reliable, quality-driven partners.
Balancing
Aesthetics and durability
For Kevin, every project is designed to last. Whether it’s a villa, apartment, spa, or business space, he is committed to creating harmony between design and function. “An architect’s job is to find the right balance between the client’s vision and technical constraints,” he explains.
At Thai-French Group, careful attention is given to every detail—from material selection and space planning, to natural light and landscape integration. Kevin uses advanced visualization tools, enabling clients to make decisions with confidence and clarity.
Down-to-earth
and hands-on
Beyond the blueprints, Kevin remains closely involved on site. His regular presence ensures that quality standards are met and that open dialogue with local teams and craftsmen is maintained. This hands-on approach helps address challenges quickly, ensuring that every outcome meets expectations.
He favors reliability and transparency over showmanship, committing to clear communication at every step. Clients particularly value his accessibility, attentive listening, and straightforward advice throughout their projects.
A multicultural skillset
Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, Kevin works daily across languages—facilitating smooth coordination with international clients, suppliers, and partners.
His cultural flexibility extends not only to communication, but also to understanding local regulations, specific client needs, and the realities of Phuket’s property market.
This openness has helped him build lasting, trust-based relationships with both clients and collaborators.
A responsible, sustainable vision
For Kevin, a project’s success is measured not just by its architectural merits, but also by how well it endures over time. Attentive to environmental considerations, he advocates sustainable solutions whenever possible, adapting building orientation and material choices to the tropical climate.
Unassuming and dedicated to his clients, Kevin Allain is quietly shaping a distinctive path for architecture in Phuket—one that reflects high standards, integrity, and respect for place. With Thai-French Group, he has become a trusted partner for clients seeking long-lasting, responsible construction.
