The boost in tourism is anticipated to contribute around 40 billion baht in revenue to the island&#8217;s economy. The &#8216;Amazing Phuket Roadshow to China 2024&#8217;, organized by the PPAO in collaboration with the Phuket Tourist Association led by Thaneth Tantipiriyakit, engaged local tourism stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-2 whitespace-pre-wrap\">During April 8-12, thirty-five representatives from Phuket&#8217;s tourism sector showcased the island&#8217;s allure across Guangzhou, Greater Shanghai, and Chengdu. This effort targeted over 70% of the Chinese tourist market segment, as detailed by the Phuket Tourist Association. Phuket welcomed approximately 1.7 million Chinese visitors last year, which was a decline from the 3.1 million recorded in the pre-pandemic period.
